Preah Khan is a sprawling flat temple complex north-east of Angkor Thom, built by Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century and dedicated to his father. It is large, atmospheric and considerably quieter than Ta Prohm, with collapsed galleries, a curious two-storey columned building and trees growing through the outer enclosures.
