If you are staying one night at Sea River Lodge and want to remember the room, this is the one.
An A-frame in timber, with the roofline carried right up and a wide run of glass onto the deck and the green beyond it. High ceilings do a lot of work in a Cambodian afternoon, and this is the airiest of the three houses even before the air conditioning is on.
Who we put in it
Couples who want space, and families of four who would rather have the deck than the lower rate. It holds the same four people as the container house, in more room and more light.
Worth knowing
Glass and high ceilings mean morning light arrives early, which is a feature if you are kayaking before the heat and a nuisance if you were planning a lie-in.

Questions travellers ask
What is the difference between the Lotus and the Frangipani?
Both sleep four across two beds. The Lotus is the timber A-frame with high ceilings and glass onto the deck; the Frangipani is the container house in the garden, and costs less.
Is the Lotus A-Frame good for families?
Yes - it takes two adults and two children, and the deck gives you somewhere to sit once they are asleep.
How high are the ceilings?
It is a full A-frame, so the roof runs to a point well above head height. It is the airiest of the three houses.
Is breakfast included?
No. Food is available at the lodge, served outside, but it is charged separately.
