The cheapest way to stay at Sea River Lodge, and the one that makes most sense for four people travelling together.
It is a container, converted and fitted out, standing in the garden rather than on the waterline. That is the trade: you are a short walk from the river instead of looking at it, and you pay the least of the three houses for the privilege. Inside it is air conditioned and modern, with hot water, wifi and a fridge, which in this part of Koh Kong province is not something to take for granted.
Who we put in it
Families with two children, or two couples sharing a stopover on the drive between Phnom Penh and the coast. Two beds and space for four means the per-person cost of breaking that journey drops to very little.
Worth knowing
Check-in and check-out are both at midday, so a late departure needs arranging in advance. Breakfast is not in the rate.
