What this trip is

Temples to the Coast is a 9 day, 8 night guided dirt bike tour on the Honda CRF250L from Siem Reap to Sihanoukville, covering about 900 km. It starts with a guided day at Angkor, then rides village back roads to Sambor Prei Kuk, Phnom Santuk and a silk-weaving village, crosses the Mekong by ferry to Phnom Penh, and continues south via Tonle Bati and Phnom Chisor to Kampot, Bokor Mountain, Kep and Ream National Park. It is graded beginner to intermediate and suits confident road riders new to dirt.

Temples to the Coast questions, answered

I have never ridden off-road. Is this OK?
Yes, if you ride confidently on the road. This is the one expedition that does not need previous off-road experience - the other three do.
Can I add Koh Rong at the end?
Yes - two nights on the island by ferry. The bikes stay safely on the mainland.
What licence do I need?
A valid full motorcycle licence from your home country together with an International Driving Permit. We check both before the first riding day, and every rider signs a participation waiver.
What is the Honda CRF250L like?
A light, forgiving, fuel-injected dual-sport bike that is equally at home on jungle single-track, sandy river trails and paved highway. Bikes are serviced before every departure and checked daily by our mechanic. Range is roughly 200-250 km on mixed terrain, so fuel stops are planned and the support vehicle carries extra fuel on remote stages.
What if a section is beyond me?
Groups ride at the pace of the least experienced rider and the sweep rider makes sure nobody is left behind. Where a section is beyond your comfort level, the support vehicle carries both you and the bike.
How much does it cost?
Prices are on request and depend on group size, dates and accommodation level. A deposit secures your place, with the balance due before departure. Private departures on your own dates can be arranged for any group size.
