I guide photographers, which mostly means knowing where the light lands and being willing to stand still for forty minutes. I can tell you which reflecting pool at Angkor Wat has fewer people at 5.20am and why the Bayon faces are better at four in the afternoon than at nine. I am the youngest guide here and I do not pretend to know as much history as Vibol, but I know the light.
